This Cookie Policy explains how daohuy.com (the "Site") uses cookies and similar technologies such as browser local storage. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device to make it work or work better. "Similar technologies" include local storage, which lets a site save small preferences in your browser. Cookies can be "session" (deleted when you close the browser) or "persistent" (kept until they expire or you delete them), and "first-party" (set by this Site) or "third-party" (set by another service).
2. Our Approach
We use as few cookies as possible. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other websites. Our analytics are cookieless.
3. Categories We Use
3.1 Strictly necessary
Set by our hosting and security provider (Cloudflare) to keep the Site secure and running, for example to tell humans from bots and to manage load. These cannot be switched off without affecting how the Site works.
3.2 Functional preferences (local storage)
We store small preferences in your browser's local storage rather than cookies, including your selected language (EN/VI/ZH/FR) and your light or dark theme choice. These stay on your device until you clear them and are not sent to us as cookies.
3.3 Analytics (cookieless)
We measure aggregate traffic using a privacy-friendly, cookieless method, so no analytics cookie is stored on your device and you are not profiled across sites.
3.4 Third-party (only on certain forms)
On some quote forms, an address field uses Google Maps Platform to suggest addresses. If you use that field, Google may set its own cookies and process your input under Google's policies. If you do not use the field, these are not triggered.
4. Cookies and Storage at a Glance
- Cloudflare security (e.g. __cf_bm): strictly necessary; short-lived; bot and load management.
- Language preference (local storage): functional; persists until cleared; remembers your language.
- Theme preference (local storage): functional; persists until cleared; remembers light or dark mode.
- Google Maps (only if you use address autocomplete): third-party; set by Google per its policies.
5. Managing Cookies
You can control or delete cookies and clear local storage through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or remove cookies and tell you when one is set. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how the Site works; clearing functional storage will simply reset your language and theme on the next visit. Helpful guides are available in the settings of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge.
6. Do Not Track
Because we do not track you across sites or use advertising cookies, no special action is needed in response to "Do Not Track" browser signals.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as the Site evolves. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest version.
